The Pioneer Valley Chinese Immersion Charter School (PVCICS), the Awarding Authority, pursuant to M.G.L. Chapter 30, Paragraph 39M, hereby invites sealed bids from Contractors for the Playground and Drop -Off Improvements at 300 Venture Way, Hadley, MA 01035 in accordance with the documents prepared by Berkshire Design Group.
The Project consists of improvements at the playground and drop off areas. The work includes, but is not limited to: coordinate work around new chain link fencing and gates to be installed by others, new concrete sidewalk with integral concrete curb and curb access ramps, addition of sand boxes, painted play games, and painted drop off pavement markings.
The work is estimated to cost Eighty Six Thousand dollars ($86,000).
A pre-bid site visit/walk thru is scheduled on Wednesday July 15, 2026, 10:00 AM. The site visit is not mandatory, but bidders are encouraged to visit the site prior to submitting a bid.
This project is subject to the prevailing wage requirements of M.G.L. c. 149, § 26-27. The Contractor and all subcontractors shall comply with prevailing wage requirements.
Digital copies of the bid drawings and specifications may be obtained by emailing requests to the Berkshire Design Group, ATTN: PVCICS Playground and Drop Off at mike@berkshiredesign.com starting on or after July 8, 2026.
Bids will be accepted until 2:00 PM Wednesday July 22, 2026 at the office of PVCICS, 317 Russell Street, Hadley, MA 01035, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. A bid deposit payable to PVCICS in the form of a bid bond or certified check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the value of the total bid price must accompany the bid.
The successful bidder shall furnish a Payment Bond in the amount of 50% of the Contract Amount.
