PVCICS Breakfast and Lunch Program

  • All students are eligible for free breakfast and lunch meals during the school year, regardless of economic status.

  • Families should fill out the Free/Reduced Household Application (if they are not already receiving benefits or listed in the state Direct Certification system) to see if they qualify for free school based fees (transportation, athletics, field trips, SAT testing, etc.).

  • Families that are approved for Free/Reduced meal priced based on the Household Application or being on the state website Direct Certification still needs to fill out the form “Share Information” (see below link) so your student can receive this benefit for other school fee based programs (bus, sports, high school tests, etc.).

We still encourage families to fill out a free/reduced lunch application because this qualification could help with receiving benefits to school related fees (transportation, athletics, high school tests, etc.).

Meal Modification and Allergy Safe Meals

If you have a gluten allergy or other dietary needs please fill out the form “Meal Modification Form” and send it to the PVCICS Lunch Department. Specials orders must be placed with our food vendor for these meals and the doctors note might to be provided to the food vendor. Please contact lunch@pvcics.org for more information. PVCICS will do its best to accommodate these requests.

The process for approving these requests are as follows:

  1. School Nurse reviews the Meal Modification Form and contacts families with any questions the nurse may have regarding their modification request.

  2. Once reviewed by the school Nurse, the modification form will be given to the Food Service Department.

  3. The Food Service Department will review the request and try to make a reasonable accommodation to meet the child’s requested meal modification.

  4. The Food Service Department will notify the family when their child’s meal modification has been confirmed and implemented within a reasonable time period from when form is received by the Food Service Department.  If the Food Service Department has any questions regarding the modification form submitted, the school Food Service Department will reach out to the families to obtain more information before modification is implemented.

Free or Reduced Lunch Application

Even though all PVCICS students will receive a free meal, we ask that families who believe they can qualify for a free or reduced lunch still fill out the application. Families who qualify can use the benefit for transportation, athletics, club fees, etc.

To apply for free/reduced lunch, please complete the below form “Free/Reduced Household Application” and return it to the food department at lunch@pvcics.org. A new application is due for each school year.
