Food Drive

 

Dear PVCICS Community,
We are reaching out to ask for your help, to assist members of our own community. Starting November 12th, 2025, PVCICS is hosting a Food Drive to help PVCICS families in need. We will have continuing phases of this food drive throughout the winter months.

We are accepting items throughout the school day at the front office, however if you prefer, you may drop off items at morning drop off or after dismissal until 5:00PM.

  • Food assistance info is available from Project Bread, click HERE and also from Western MA Food Bank, click HERE .

  • Donate in the following ways:

    • Food - drop off non-perishable food at school, see list of recommended items below.

    • Online donations - click HERE to use a credit card to donate.

    • Checks - drop off or mail checks made out to “PVCICS” with note “food drive” to the main office or mail to PVCICS, 317 Russell Street, Hadley, MA 01035.

    • Gift cards - purchase gift cards for donation from the PVCICS Booster Club’s annual gift card fundaiser (click HERE for details).

  • Donations support PVCICS families in need and food banks in PVCICS’s region of service.

We are collecting the following food items:

GRAINS

  • Pasta (gluten free & traditional)

  • Rice (any type)

  • Cereal (boxes and/or oatmeal)

  • Bread and/or tortillas (gluten free & traditional)

PROTEINS

  • Dry and/or canned beans

  • Canned fish

  • Canned chicken

  • Peanut butter (in plastic jars, not glass jars)

  • Containers of roasted nuts

  • Shelf stable milk

SOUPS, SAUCES, PREPARED MEALS

  • Pasta sauce (canned, no glass jars!)

  • Soups (vegetarian and/or meat)

  • Mac n’ Cheese 

  • Heat & eat shelf stable meals (e.g. Tasty Bite Madras Lentils, Boboli pizza crust & sauce, ramen/soup noodles)

OTHER

  • Dried fruit

  • Baby food

  • Apple sauce

  • Granola bars

  • Canned fruit

  • Canned vegetables (low sodium)

  • Cooking oil (in plastic containers, please)

  • Crackers
