Join us this spring as we explore the vibrant art of Lion Dance! Students will learn the history, culture, and artistic traditions behind this dynamic performance while developing fundamental lion dance techniques and movements.

Building on our fall semester focus on drumming, the spring session will prioritize lion dance choreography, coordination, and expressive movement as a team. ACE Lion Dance will meet for seven sessions to learn about the inner workings of how to perform and become the heart of the lion dance. Classmates will work together as the lion’s head and tail to learn more about the art of lion dancing through fun exercises and supportive teamwork.

Classes will be led by Alex Chin, an experienced lion dance practitioner. Students should wear comfortable clothing and sneakers.
